The Role
Compass International School Doha seeks an ambitious Secondary Teacher to join its dynamic faculty. The role involves delivering the English National Curriculum, preparing students for external exams including IGCSE and beyond, and embedding innovative teaching methods to elevate outcomes.
Teachers are expected to:
- Foster a student-centered, high-expectation culture where learners are inspired to excel.
- Integrate language, literacy, and communication skills within subject teaching, supporting EAL students effectively.
- Use adaptive planning and assessment to ensure pathways for individual student success.
- Promote the subject both inside and outside the classroom through enrichment activities, trips, and community engagement.
- Collaborate across the Nord Anglia network, sharing best practices and benefiting from global partnerships.
About You
The successful candidate will:
- Hold a university degree in a relevant subject plus a teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE/PGDE).
- Demonstrate experience teaching the English National Curriculum in a UK or international context.
- Be fluent in English (native or near-native level).
- Be inclusive, adaptable, and reflective, with a proven ability to motivate students of all abilities.
- Embrace innovation, feedback, and collaboration within a high-performing global school network.
Desirable qualities include a Master’s degree, evidence of continued professional development, and experience of international education.
