GEMS World Academy–Dubai (GWA) is an outstanding private, co-educational IB World School offering education from PreK to Grade 12. About the Role
GEMS World Academy–Dubai is seeking a talented and motivated PYP Teaching Assistant to join its Primary Department. This exciting opportunity is available for an immediate start.
The Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting classroom learning, enhancing student well-being, and creating a positive, engaging learning environment. Working closely with the classroom teacher, the successful candidate will ensure every student feels supported academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, small group, and whole-class support to enhance learning outcomes.
- Assist with creative activities and help students develop fine and gross motor skills.
- Collaborate with teachers to design schedules, manage classrooms, and support lesson delivery.
- Supervise students during recess, school trips, and events.
- Step in as a substitute teacher when required.
- Maintain a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
- Participate in professional development and training sessions.
- Ensure strict confidentiality at all times.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or minimum of high school education.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a classroom setting.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- Strong multitasking, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
