Job Overview

They seek an inspirational female Secondary Art Teacher to join our team at Durham School for Girls Doha for an immediate start. Teach Art, Textiles, and Fine Art up to A Level, contributing to their vibrant, values-driven community.

The Role

As a Secondary Art Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging Art and Textiles lessons aligned with the British National Curriculum, up to A Level.
  • Develop innovative lesson plans and assessments to inspire creativity and academic excellence.
  • Support the Art department’s growth through active collaboration and creative contributions.
  • Embed Durham’s MARK values (Moral Integrity, Ambition, Responsibility, Kindness) in teaching.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities to enrich the student experience.
  • Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom aligned with Qatar’s 2030 vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Education, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS with induction, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience, with the ability to teach Art up to A Level.
  • British curriculum experience and international teaching experience advantageous.
  • Passion for teaching, innovation, and community involvement.
  • Must be fully vaccinated (per Qatari regulations) and locally available in Qatar.
